O heck, #1 , Off the sticks/ no all shot off the bench, sticks was a shooting at the rams. #2, Lead alloy, pure lead, bit of linotype and tin. #3, Using 2f Swiss with small bit of compression . #4, Card on powder then bullet. #5, Just using blow tube between shots. #6, Make my own, bees wax, lanolin and olive oil mix, with a bit of red crayon, nice and soft. I don't think removing the ring would help, besides, it could be very painful, This is just my first try with my new 488gr bullets from my new mould and to see if my 1-20 twist will work, looks like it is, all neat round holes. But wait, there's more, have just borrowed a hollow base mould, 410gr so more testing.

I am using Chefade, some beeswax and Canola oil, probably amounts to the same thing.
How much tin is in your mix?
How much difference do you think the card wad makes? I have tried it both ways and thought I could see a difference, but then could not repeat it.

I think a card wad over the powder helps seal the bullet base and also keeps the lube from getting into your powder charge . Always looks good when I shoot at 50m and have shot better ones with pp bullets and 420gr ones, but opens up at 100m, so will keep trying. MD, yes would love to try it on a deer or goats, but will have to put wheels on it to tow it around.

C H, just a small bit of tin, I have some pure tin and or a bit of solder will do it, helps fill out the mould.
