    Short barrelled .270Win load

Hi folks, im looking at cutting my .270Win down to 16-18 inches, and putting a dpt can on it to save the dogs ear drums. Aware .270win is not a great candidate ballistically to be bush pigged, but all my shooting is sub 300m (reds and sika) so im not worried.

Just wondering whether anyone is prepared to share there experiences with shortended .270Win's. Keen to hear peoples thoughts on barrel length, powder types and potential projectiles.

    Thanks in advance,
    Josh

NZ Hunter are running the 270 as their bushpig now for a reason. I believe theirs is 18” with a dpt mk2 magnum suppressor. Pretty sure they using superformance powder for very good results such as 145 ELD-X at around 2900fps.

Wow @stagstalker that is incredible velocity with the 145grainers out of a 18 inch tube! Encouraging to hear.
    Cheers,

If I could get hold of some, I'd give that a crack in my 20" .270, but change the projectile to the 150SST/VLD/NBT
