@R93 so how many grains of 2209 are you using to hump that 140 Amax?

46grns on the dot. Gives me between 2935-2940fps on a cold fouled barrel.
Goes quite a bit slower on a cold clean barrel. I always hunt with a fouled barrel.

No. Going to start another one in September. Having that wind component sorted I am sure the group will look better as well.
Was up doing some shooting today and not a breath of wind registered on my kestral at the range but a stiff easterly is blowing where I live next to the river.

Not really slow shooting but I shot some steel yesterday to confirm a mates rig is all working right at 500 yards.

The ES was horrible at 40fps but still managed a 3 shot 2" group right in the guts.
Fired 3 thru my blaser for a giggle as well and the ES was better but not where it normally is and that went 1.6" top dead center.

If you enter the recorded velocities for each shot on the calc there is no way they can print groups that tight.

Blaser had a clean barrel so I would expect a bit of a spread there as it takes 3-5 rounds to foul properly.
I haven't cleaned the HCR since it arrived.

Either my new Labradar is not recording the velocities accurately or the groups were a fluke.

So I am little confused to say the least.

Then your rifle is clearly exhibiting "positive compensation".

I should have taken a pic but the vertical component is less than the horizontal.

Shouldn't be that way around going by recorded shot velocities.
But yeah I did note the wind as poorly as I normally do.
The HCR is new to me and very accurate for a piece of shit.

The blaser is shooting a new load I don't have much data for yet but is shooting as well as I come to expect.

I reloaded the same cases today and will shoot them on a now fouled barrel.

ES was 32fps (not drastic) and it is normally under 10.
But as I said, a new load. It did shoot 6 rnds when I first settled on it under 10fps over the V3 but I shot them all on a cold fouled barrel during the warmer months.

I suspect it could be the powder not the radar.

I will shoot some of my old loads as a control. If only this weather would settle long enough to get up for a shot

Just got back and right on time as it is absolutely pissing down here.

    Labradar is perfect.

I Fired 2x5 round groups at 200 with 6 mins between shots. Removed the suppressor each time to speed up any cooling.

ES over the 5 rnds of both my old and new load dropped into the low teens. The new load being slightly better.

Groups were as good as I have shot 5 rnds at that range as well, so happy days

Yup. Goes good with less pressure in my barrel at least. I stopped using HBO in the
.260 as well so that could account for a slightly higher ES.
