Has anyone had any experience with the Speer 55gr spritzers in a .223?
The price is right, and the look like they should do the job on goats, but keen to get some thoughts on them.
I’ll be pushing them with some benchmarkII

I have used them exclusively for years and they have been very accurate in my Sako and killed very efficiently.
its made by speer=it will kill well and SHOULD be soft...so good expansion. the 50 and 52grn hp speers are awesome projectiles too,the 52s are normally easy to get and get to shoot well.
75/15/10 black powder matters
@JohnQT if you are referring to the Speer part No 1047 55 grain spritzer then I have used them in a 223 for goats. Also I have used them in a 22-250 and a 220 Swift for goats, deer and pigs.
It was a toss up between them and the Sierra 55g GK as both were very accurate and perform very well.
Greetings,
Worked well for me years back on goats bur everything else did too. I used AR2201 followed by AR2206. Benchmark2 and 8208 are just a little faster than AR2206 and slightly faster again than AR2206H that I am currently using. BM2 is probably ideal.
GPM.
And I thought "spritzer" was a sprayer while "spitzer" was a bullet. Guess you learn something every day lol
I know a lot but it seems less every day...
Perfect. Looks like they will be worth a try.
Thanks chaps
