Hahaha. Imagine if you had loaded it accidentally! The consequences could have been severe!

I recently bought a 5,000 projectile bulk box of .224 55gr Hornady projectiles and found 5 or 6 9mm handgun projectiles mixed in. Funniest bit was asking my 13yo son to "take the box out of the back of the ute and put it in the shed" ........ he thought it was bolted to the floor when he went to pick it up. It weighed 40kg!
Just use it with a sabot
But the real question here is did you get an extra free bullet or get ripped off by half a bullet?
"Hunting and fishing" fucking over licenced firearms owners since ages ago.
308Win One chambering to rule them all.
Except its 30 grains
Not 35
A big fast bullet beats a little fast bullet every time
This undermines my confidence that every single bullet in a box will be the same weight and calibre, let alone the same batch.
It makes me feel inclined to run a micrometer and scales over each projectile before loading.
Talking about unexpected items, I once found a fly withot wings in my can of AR 2208.
After a thoughtful root cause analysis I concluded it probably flew too close to the desk lamp I have by the reloading bench, got fried and fell into the hopper on my chargemaster.
Now I always put the lid on and although I use the lamp to visually check theres powder in each case I keep it away from straight above them and cover cases wih a cloth until Im just about to fill them.
It was just picked unripe thats all, it'll grow out fine.
9mm in my box of 308, got ripped off 1 308
