Barrel length and manufacture? Browning and Tikka barrels tend to run a little slower for more pressure than Winchester and Remington. Currently getting 2900fps with 105 Targex and non max load of IMR4451 in a 20" Rem barrel. Fed 210.

Anyone run Superformance in either of the afore mentioned cartridges? with what pills and results?
Stumbled across this load while pissing about with the powder during the winter in my 6.5 06. Haven't chronyed it yet but has potential

You would make Te Tawa's heart sing with that praise of that pill. Look on Barnes official website. It is not a pretty picture much like Sierra which has bought Barnes. Lotsa criticism in USA about poor manufatcuring of projectiles considering there is no war effort displacing demand. Sierra at top of pile. Gunworks websire records .224 availability of Sierra in late November.

Couldn't find 2217 or RE26 for my 7mm Saum so have grabbed Superformance and will give it a try at the range in a couple of weeks.

Finally got to the range to give the superformance a whirl and looks like I have something to work with. Loading 162 ELDM in new 300 Saum Norma brass necked down. 5 loads starting at 62.5gn at .5gn increases to 64.5. From a 20" barrel measured with a magneto speed results were:
62.5 avg 2947 fps 0.41 moa - no pressure signs
63.0 avg 2980 fps 1.0 moa - flattening primer and ejector mark
63.5 avg 3025 fps 1.08 moa - fair booted me definitely time to stop there!
good start pretty pleased with 2950 from 20"

Superperformance is good but it's really hard to get published data on it, although there is some around now. It's also not listed in quickload unless has been recently.

The other thing is because it packs in so tight the extreme performance loads are quite a bit heavier than standard powders that you would load for a certain cartridge so you are often going into uncharted territory, so need to have your wits about you.

I think that's why most people just can't be bothered.

One thing it does do that might add to being very accurate, it meters amazingly consistent.
