So does it measure wind speed too?
Does it just need an app to do so.

Yep just go to google play and and search for wind meter and you need one that can be calibrated to a good wind meter eg kestrel

But you threw the kestral away?

Have seen these wind meters that plug into your phone. No idea if they are any better or more convenient than a kestrel or similar.

What is the sensor resolution? Is the temp sensor shielded from the processor?

Edit: I have that phone. Just downloaded and checked against calibrated instruments.

Air pressure: 4 hPa off. Insignificant deviation.
Temp: No readout.

When I checked mine against the kestrel it was prety much the same and mine definitely had the temp so dont know why yours didnt come up ?

Does anyone know if any other phone has the required sensors to run this like Andy is?

YES but my naggy wife cant call me on the Kestrel!!!

Well fuck my brown dog! They are pretty much identical!
It turns out that my glitch filled shooter program mr sean kennedy has refused to fix has done me a favour as it made me spend my $35 with mr litz.
So there you go just the excuse you need to splash out and buy that new phone you have been thinking about!
As a plus it has all the fruit you will ever need no matter what your skill level.
I am not sure if these adons work on the s3 and presume they work on the s5
