As long as it will still shoot an 85 grain Sierra BTHP the world will still turn. But if it only shoots heavy bullets well I am not interested.

Flyblown for some reason I can't quote a message I would not bother trying they're not real good coming forward with information and it will just be a standard saami chamber as per the usual.
Can you explain the trigger issue. My mate has just bought a 223 T3X . I reload for him and he is head shooting in my presence. He is not complaining about the trigger. I swore off Sako though this is after my 75 which is a real ripper in 243 but the new stuff leaves me cold. Cheers.
I use these magazines and they are very handy.
According to Beretta NZ, the magazine is the same. I have asked Sako.fi directly about the freebore but as commented above it will almost certainly be standard SAAMI.
I don’t think it really matters that much. I did a little back of the envelope check this arvo and I don’t think the velocity gains by having the projectile seated way out is going to make a huge difference on downrange performance.
Just being able to shoot the high BC 6 mm projectiles is good enough.
Just...say...the...word
Tikkas generally have long free bores don’t they? Iv got a .243 with a 108eldm loaded as a dummy round I will measure later and someone will be able to chime in as to weather it’ll fit or not
Talked to a farmer on Sunday evening about deer on his farm. Too many. Someone chimed in at the pub [where he drinks] about a flash harry calibre... Creedmoor. He looked at me and said it sounds like garbage and would I get my son up to sort them out with an ordinary rifle.
Extremely heavy with what felt like creep to me (it's not a two stage).
Saying that, I have been spoilt by TriggerTech Specials (both single and two stage).
Can't recommend buying a new Tikka T3x anymore as the prices have gone insane over here in the UK (over £1k+ for the very base model!).
Better to buy an old Remington 700 or M7 if you know what to look for and do it up. The detachable magazines on the Tikka's are also a rip (£50 for a new one!)
Righto I got a reply from Marko at Sako to tell me that the new 8 twist .243 magazine is the same as before (so capable of holding all .243 cartridges within CIP maximum length). He completely ignored the questions regarding freebore and didn’t answer. Woopee.
The chambering will therefore be the same as before I would assume, i.e. conforms to CIP standard.

so get any half competent gunsmith to run longer throated reemer up its gunger if its that big of issue....yes will void warrantee...yes will cost you..but if thats what you want, what you really really want......... job done,yoU will be able to sight it in,develop load for it,work out its precise load charge weight and seating depth, then probably get bored with it,Sell it at a loss and go back to using the bog standard .308w sitting in cupboard AGAIN.....
75/15/10 black powder matters
Evidently there are no tikkas in the country as yet in 1:8 so will hold off getting one
