Tikka .223 1:8 twist. Suitable heavy pill?

I’ve now accumulated a reasonable amount of my Winchester brass (64gr), and am looking for suitable varmint /longish range type pills to start reloading with

    Powder?

    Primers?

Previous owner said his 75gr handloads were too long for the mag, so I’m looking for something that will feed OK. I don’t want to hand-feed.

Please note I have plenty of 55gr ammo i use through my other bolt rifle, so am wanting something that will challenge my abilities to shoot as good as this rifle.

Apologies if this has been answered elsewhere

I don’t yet own my own reloading gear. Am looking to source materials first and use a mates gear to reload

    Thanks for your advice!

    Si

Sierra 69gn Matchkings shoot well in any rifle.
However if you want them for knocking furry critters over (varying sizes), use the 69gn Tipped versions TMK or the 65gn Sierra Gamekings.

ADI 2206h is a good powder for ,223 and .308.
    I also use CFE223.

Primers, what ever your local has really. Ideally match primers.

PS, I'm shooting the above in my Sako .223 1 in 8" twist, so same barrel pretty much.

Yip. He lengthened mine. After that choose whatever. 90 gr would not work by the sounds of it, but I know 80gr is fine, or anything down to 50 gr

69gr targex and bm2 work well. 2206h is one of the few powders that the adi data seems to be bang on for, I.e if it says x is max it pretty much is

Ill check my data when I get home for exact length & powder charge, but I shoot 75gr hornady bthp projectiles seated to feed from magazine in my 1/8 tikka .223. Federal brass. Federal small rifle match primer. AR2208 powder.
Im getting about 2950fps. Im early in my load development for this rifle but showing promise with a couple sub 0.5moa 5 shot groups

    1 : 8 Twist 16" barrel, 25 gr 2208 and 77 gr SMK.
I just got a 5.56 Ruger American Ranch Rifle with the flush 5 round mag easy carry.
Opened up the barrel channel for more clearance.
Changed the trigger return spring to a cut spring same length as original from a pen, 1.5 lb clean break trigger pull.
Cut an inch of the stock.
Fitted AR titanium moderator straight on factory screw cut 16 "barrel.
    Swapped over from AR Swarovski Z8i 1 - 8.
0.5 moa cheap 55 gr sp Freedom ammo.
Wallaby ready short and handy, might have to place a stone on top of it to stop it getting blown away if I lay it down out and about on a windy day.
My first group at 500 yards with 77 gr SMK my old service rifle load using mixed ex military brassName: 223.jpg
