@bigbear unsure of the brand of chrony i used, but 53 fps difference between our two results with the same set up seems ok ( to me anyway.) I've only shot on paper so far and been very happy with it so far. That is very pleasing to hear.

Mate personally I’d be taking full advantage of the benefits in having a magnum caliber.

Compare your chart with mine above and you’ll see what I mean.

Using this factory ammo will get you much closer. Something to think about down the track.

Cheers @Tui4Me that is definitely something to think about, will definitely consider it when I run out of the sako ammo

Why are you guys zero'd at 100 or 200 yards? I figured with a magnum you would go for 300.

    73g of 2225.

    Norma Brass.

    No pressure signs.

Actually after my barrel wore in the speed increased from 3122 to 3200fps and I had to take a grain of powder out.

I still didn’t get pressure signs at 3200fps but it scared me to be honest and also my drop chart was no longer working so I backed it off

The 26” Bartlein barrel has now settled at 3150fps.

That's outrageous so your on average 120fps faster than the average rem mag with 2"more barrel I ran 73 gns of 2225 for 3030fps in a 24" sako I ran 3060fps with 180 bergers in a 7mm blaser mag at 26" bartein keep that barrel mate

Myself I like my rifles zeroed at 200y or meters. Doesn't make a lot of difference close bush shooting and i know they are about inch and half high at 100.

I wouldn't compare with that you have the fastest safe rem mag in existence

Traditionally 1" high at 100 with a .270 and guessed thatd I'd aim at top of shoulder at 300 for a do all rifle

I’ve seen a few with 26” match barrels get to 3100.

    All with 2225.
