    we predict the unpredictable?

so its rainining, an raining lots..so I cant go out an shoot !

so next best is to Ask here.

    I have two loads, 139gr hornady = 40gr 2208.... and 140gr Woodleigh = 40gr 2208...

is there any way to predict that these bullets will hit in the same ball park of POI at 100m ? is there method or would neve know unless shot on paper?

is it likely I will get away with two loads, one sighted for spot on out to 300 an another for bush stalking -150m stuff?

    keen to hear!?

No the only way is to shoot them at targets all guns shoot differently with the same load you might find they shoot to the same point at 50 metres but after that it's a guessing game until you do some range time.
Sorry about the rain we have SUN for couple more days

Nothing can beat real validation when it comes to shooting.

one of my mates says he is happy "if they are within a fist at 100" .

I'm not too fussed, oo wet to work tomoorow so I will get a crack at them, have 19 loaded now after I banged 2 foxes with the 7mm08 last night with them 139s.

id rather lay down on the swag and shoot at least 2 shots to A- verify poi, B- adjust to a closer bull if needed. just for now so I can confidently walk up some sambar once this rain does clear, and have confidence in the Woodleigh..... stags are about and I am keen

    good on yas

    Hi guys.
I have just returned from out the back door
100m range up to 300m , is quite handy.

anyway I want to put a stop to the guess.

I shot the 140gr Woodleighs, you wouldn't believe but the Impact (POI) untouched at 100m was 5 inches high - about 3 inches Higher than POI with 139gr load.

So a little tickle down on the Leupold 2-7 varix had me Woodleighs hitting 2.5 inches high at 100m..... exactly in verticle!

I'm really happy , if you cant tell although it is not a Dual load comparitable.
    though

    cheers
