Lots of diffent info out there some say its a screw some say its heat shrunk in , the last review i read said they requested info from sauer directly and reply said it was heat shrunk and the barrel cannot practically be changed will try and find the link.

I might ask the company myself as I've got a prc that is back with them getting the magazine modded so it fits like it ought to.
From what I've read the bolt lugs lock into the receiver on the 100 and not the barrel tenon on the 101, 202. This nessecitated a threaded barrel rather than press fit.
One bloke reported looking down the scope base hole(s) and seeing threading.
People see and report many things though for sure.

Sauer 101 sure is a shrink fit and can’t be replaced (easily at least).

Bergara is well worth a look. They make far better Remingtons than Remington these days. Kiwi Greg has done some builds on them and told me they are good news. Not sure how much room there is in the mag box, but if it’s the same as a 700 it should be fine. I have a Rem Mag box in my custom 7 Rem Mag and there’s space to spare with 180 ELD-Ms seated long.

Must be a Bergara owner on here that can offer assistance.

Get a Bergara I'm converted, pretty hard to beat for value, refined rem700 action with sako extractor and bolt release, they make damn fine barrels (Kimber now use Bergara barrels in order to offer an moa guarantee cos they sure couldnt make a decent barrel themselves)
Stocks are nice and stiff and mag has plenty of room. Made in Spain so decent trigger compared to anything American. They will fit all rem700 aftermarket parts and stocks are decently rigid.

Haven't built any rifle I just have a B14 Extreme Hunter in 308

Look for a BSA CF2. These go real well in 7mm rem. You will pay about $600

For those on a budget, take a look at the Remington 783. A lot them are shooting quite well and most of their barrels are fairly straight. They just need a bit of relief in the barrel channel for a good free floating.
Savage are still good to very good even if a bit agricultural.the versions with the accustock ( aluminium insert inside stock for rigidity) are a little heavier but with a very stiff fore end.
