I loaded some 7mm rem mag rounds. I’m finding Hornady brass to be quite good.

Today when it finally stopped raining I regulated my 577-500 #2 Double rifle for a 335 grain light bullet small game /practice load.

3 lots of 2 shots and the barrels came together with 135 grains of 1.5 FG Holy Smoke

So I cleaned and reloaded 5 cases with the light bullets and I'm good to go hare shooting

I do like the way your light small game bullet would still probably smash just about any game animal around...! Though I do recall hunting geese and goats with my .58 Zouave replica, did the job nicely.

The other purpose for the light bullet load is for it to be a little more shootable for friends to try

Being a double you can't shoot a light load or they are massively wide of center.
With both the 450s and 335s regulated and shooting to the same POA it's sorted.

The 335s has significantly less recoil despite more powder to bring them together

I sorted out all the used brass and made them uniform.
Loaded 3 each with as much powder as possible of 1.5 FG, 2 FG and 3 FG
Will test all the sets from a clean barrel tomorrow if it's not pouring

I finally got to test these loads today.

Interesting small scale test at 50m from a rest

    1.5 FG Holy Smoke
    2 FG Schuetzen
    3 FG Geox

1.5 FG wins and 2 FG is a very close second with 3 FG being a very clear looser

Today I've loaded up 20x 7.65x53mm Mauser rounds using reformed Fiocchi .30-06 cases as a trial.

If there's no issues with these mass production shall begin!
