i load sucsessful for f class using a lee thrower from the aniversary kit. its the only piece of the kit i havnt upgraded. i did look at upgradeing it but the options were auto dispenser which i tried but have gone back and the other is a $500 or $600 harrels precision thrower. bottom line is your gonna have to weigh each charge anyway so why not just save some money by throwning a half grain low and trickling up. the lee will do that fine.
I have a Hornady a Lee and a Redding, The lee is ok and can be really consistent until it isn't. When it throws an off charge it seems to be greater than either the Hornady or Redding by quite a margin. I really rate the Hornady value for money and have sold at least 6 to guys who use it to replace their Dillon measures on 550's etc.
i couldn't wait so i got some new hornady 1500 scales and the cheap lee thrower i wasn't expecting to much for the price but im wrapped its very consistant and saves a lot of time i still check the charge with scales to make sure
yeah I'm happy with my Lee too. I check every load on the scales and add a grain here and there with the trickler. Way faster than the dipper.
Used 1 of those Lee throwers. Absolute rubbish!!
I now have a nice new RCBS. Haven't used it yet as I have been waiting for a stand to arrive.
