If you are doing 308 cases down to 260 rem you may find the case neck has become thicker. Sometimes to the point that you cannot chamber loaded rounds. You will need to outside neck trim for them to fit if this happens.
I had to do this with 200 LC brass that i formed down to 260. Didnt fire form them, but that happened in load developement
.243 260, 7mm 08 and 308 all have the same shoulder I believe. Unless you are changing to AI or Imp.

To form brass for that is a process
Size the kneck on 3006 to 338
Run through gibbs die so it just fits into
Chamber,
Put some shotgun powder and cream of wheat into the case,
Plug with some wax from a candle
Pull the trigger and wallah
