Thread: Winchester 22lr subsonic 42 grain Max HP vs 40 grain

In my .22 rifles CCI subsonic is superbly accurate.

Get some S&B subs.
They're the best I've used to date! Used on tbe bigger bennetts wallaby and rabbits.
Compared a few different brands side by side, all in same rifle, and the S&B were by far more consistent and had a much better kill rate.

Winchester wouldve been the worst for consistently but the 42gr hp def hit well enough.
CCI next for consistency but had less kill rate than winny.
Federal was better than CCI for kills but only marginally
Eley was terrible. But no where as bad as Remington garbage. That was just a waste of money.

I've been told 10/22's hate Winchester?

@Three O'Three mine never used to butbthat was aussie made. Have only marginally tried the American stuff so not really indicative of other rugers
