If you have a good strike it cant be anything else but contamination from somewhere, most likely resizing lube from you, or something from where you purchaced them.
Way too many failures. You tried them in 3 other rifles, it cant be seating as the pocket is only so deep unless you changed it, and unlikely that one of them couldnt light them off.

Yeah, definitely a fault with the primers I reckon. They should take them back and replace them no questions asked eh.

Do you use meths anywhere near or on your cases during the loading process ? Primers do not like meths. . . .
BURN BABY BURN
Rule 1: Treat every firearm as loaded Rule 2: Always point firearms in a safe direction Rule 3: Load a firearm only when ready to fire Rule 4: Identify your target beyond all doubt Rule 5: Check your firing zone
Rule 6: Store firearms and ammunition safely Rule 7: Avoid alcohol and drugs when handling firearms
A bit late to teh party but i have been using winchester primers with no issues. I have loaded nearly 9000 small rifle and just over 10000 large pistol in the last year with no problems at all.
we thinks theres been a batch sent into nz that must have some duds in them

Just building up some wear on my martini to centre the firing pin on the primer. Funny no problems with Berdan primers but the fedrals large rifle about 50/50
Me too. Contacted the importer and it was the first they had heard of it. They wanted to know the batch number and any fired and unfired ones I had so that they could go back to Winchester to sort the problem. Replaced them with no problems what so ever. Great to have an importer that wants to help sort out any issues promptly.
