Half of the hodgdon powders are ADI anyway. For what it's worth hodgdon owns Winchester and IMR powders so when you think about it, everybody runs hodgdon.

Yeah it does surprise me SpecWeapon but as Beavis has pointed out and I was aware of it also one company are running under several different banners / trading names.
I wonder as end users ( consumers ) just how much marketing bullshit we are being feed.
Love to see an independent lab run some tests on this stuff...... wonder how much is the same shit in a different tin ?

In the case of hodgdon it really is same shit different can. Hodgdon is a marketing brand they don't the make powder themselves. Even some of the winchester and hodgdon powder is the same shit eg win 760 = H414

Not in Lapua Palma cases which are made for small rifle primers.

Lapua is proud to introduce the new .308 Win. PALMA (Small Rifle Primer) case. Developed in conjunction with the US Palma team, the small rifle primer case is designed to deliver enhanced long-range accuracy for the most demanding competitive applications. Utilizing the well known consistency of the Small Rifle primers to best advantage, this combination has shown significantly reduced velocity spreads and standard deviations compared to .308 Win. cases using the standard large rifle primer.

Need to be careful - now that Hodgdon has taken over the marketing and control of the manufacturing of WW these 2 powders are the same shit, but going back a few years they were close equivalents but not exactly the same. So if anyone is using old batches of 760 best to use original Winchester loading data.

I got good results with 2208 with heavier projectiles, eg tmk 77grain. I have just tried BM2 for 55fmjs and 62fmjs and for the 62 at least I think its looking a bit better MOA but I am still testing. NB BM2 is supposed to be ideal for the 60~70grain range. For 55fmjs 2208 or BM2 seem about the same. From some people's posts like banana 2206H seems to be worth trying for 55gr. So far I think the BM2 meters better than 2208 and its the same price. I need to try BM2 behind SMK 69 and 77gr to see how they go but ADI's factory ready loaded 69gr SMK shot better than my own 69grTMK with 2208 suggesting a different powder might pay dividends.

No, Lapua make both types, I have 400 of the the large rifle primer Lapua 308w match grade. From what I can read a small rifle primer gives a slightly better SD, but it has to be a warm/hot day or it wont work as well and even mis-fire.
