    Is there a war coming?
    I hope so. Looking to beat my personal best of 1058 rabbits for a three afternoon hunt.

    So your easter is sorted then.
    Yep! If we're lucky a stag might wander out too ........

    Its a RCBS Universal. Excellent primer tool and the best I have used. A little bit more expensive but worth every penny.

    Complete carnage here, @40 with the rifle in @ an hour, with shot gunners driving them over towards me. They got @60 on their quick walk around while I rested and sat in the sun.

    Big rabbit. But a wild deer on the farm, farmer asked us to get rid of it, so we followed orders.

    Unfortunately for us it rained Thursday - Saturday around Napier so we were holed up in camp. Visibility was too poor to hunt due to the cloud cover etc. Lots of sleeping and too much eating. Went for a quick stalk Saturday evening and picked up a nice fat hind for the freezer. Sun came out Sunday and we nailed 908 rabbits between two of us. I had to head back to Auck early Monday morning as my youngest had been admitted to hospital with a spider bite which required surgery, but my brother stayed on and shot another 350 rabbits on Monday and a hind in the evening. A weekend of two halves.

    the fact that the dog has the remains of hare can be overlooked
    @EeeBees,
    My young fella ( 4 yr old ) was very relieved that the Easter bunny made it past the Gwp sleeping at the door of our tent this weekend to deliver his eggs!
    He had been concerned for a few weeks and had been banging on to me that I need to tie the dog up at night.

    Might have to show him yr cool pic of the lab.

    Yea the daughter ( 8 yrs) was with me one arvo about a month ago, when I shot one. Thought I nailed it as it was on its back rolling around. By the time I made the gun safe I looked up and bastard had decamped the scene. ( may change my forum name to bung eye dickhd) let the Gwp out he tracked it pointed it, I told him to fetch it, and he was a bit hard of mouth, crunched it a bit.
    I made the mistake of saying " lucky it wasn't the Easter Bunny aye)
    She's been winding up the young fella with her hunting story.

    Wait till next Xmas when dogs onto the deer, Santas Reindeer are going to be in trouble....
