    Farm Stay Airbnb Shooting

Does anyone know of any farm stay style Airbnbs that allow you to shoot rabbits and possums? Middle to lower north island ideally.
Had a look at OutdoorHQ, but thought it was a bit of a cheek having to pay a hunting fee on top of the accommodation fee when you're essentially doing free pest control for them.

    Check out

    “Heavenly horse treks”

There’s reds and fallow as well

You just pay for accomodation, no payment for the animals you shoot

    Wairarapa area
Trout, Woody, Micky Duck and 5 others like this.

@TararuaWest. “ you're essentially doing free pest control for them.”
Bear in mind that there are many land managers that have been stung by allowing essentially unknown individuals on their property who basically educate the animals about hunters by either only taking one or two animals out of a group or worse, firing many shots for one or no animals. This adds costs to their own pest control efforts. Not every hunter is effective at “pest control “. Good luck in your endeavours though.

Pukekos are the worst for that, people have a crack at culling them first and get a handfull thinking they have done a good job but then the other 400 of them stay half a km away from anyone with a rifle.
