Thread: magpie distress call...

morning folks, im looking for a reasonably clear magpie distress call. Ive looked at youtube but cant rip a really clear call from there, any ideas?

i guess i could run an app in bluestacks on my pc... an mp3 seemed like an easier way to go tho...

What are these things.... Dim hazy recollection of them from years gone by.

App on the phone with a ue boom speaker, placed on a nice clearing with a spot to shoot 100m away, have used it a couple of times with cats

dont have a ueboom, or a phone that wouldnt struggle to run an app.. (im such a dinosaur!)

well chances are you still use a cassette player

Nowadays, you can put it it on a memory card or use your phone with Bluetooth speakers. Technology has move on

Havock Productions have an Android app for Magpie distress calls - i tried it once with a bluetooth speaker but there was a bit of background noise in the recording so half spooked them off. i need to try again.

Talking of calls though, has anyone tried a rabbit distress call for stoats and ferrets? This worked brilliantly for a stoat a few months back.
