    enviroMate 100TM
This automated pest control tool - the first electronic pest control tool presented and developed in NZ and trademarked as such - has a David and Goliath issue. It has been privately developed all the way through from concept to product on the market, despite variously applying for funding through the various government pest control funding schemes. It's problem is, it is a game changer tool and it really is a challenging alternative to 1080 on all land that man can walk. It REMOVES pests - possums and rats - from an area quickly , it DEFENDS the area after removal for as long as wanted and some can be left along the boundary of the cleared area to DETECT for re invasion and identify the entry points of re invasion. It plays a secondary role in REMOVING stoats and wild cats that come to catch the rats that come to feed at the enviroMate100TM.
This week a very experienced pest control contractor, who has been working with enviroMate 100TM to draw pests into his traps for two years now, achieved a 2% BMI monitoring result after working an Ospri site in the Wairoa area. 4% BMI in large scale pest control projects is more usual and if some enviroMate 100TM are left on site, absence of pests can result. This is the time, where possible, to expand the operation outwards but the current ad hoc management of blocks to be pest controlled by DOC and Ospri makes this pretty much impossible. However on farmed land farmers may cooperate to do this.
enviroMate 100TM is available directly from its inventor Eco-land Ltd and costs $140.00 GST incl. plus freight. email : enviromate@gmail.com
It will be on display at the NZ National Fieldays 16 – 19 June on site E 21.
If you are going, be sure to drop by and see it and meet us.
