Yep have this Vortex Crossfire II 6-18x44 AO, Vbrite, Matte on my 22Lr in my case without the vbrite and BDC hashes are like I said elsewhere very very clear and great optics at the price...

You'll have plenty of money to spend on a top of the line scope since you got the rifle for a bargain a S & B or a March would suit it nice.
Bushnell ar223 works well for me shot a plover at 340yrds so pretty stocked with it
The vari-x 3 on shift 14 22 in the gunporn section is very nice. Has the efr reticle with is soooo fine with a tiny dot in the middle. Great for varmints and tagets. Will try post photo later
I have a dedicated varmint rig (Kimber Varmint .204 with suppressor) with a Zeiss 6-24X40 on it with a Varmint reticle. I have a more walk around lighter .223 (Sauer 202 non suppressed) which has a 4-16X40 scope with a simple BDC reticle. With your application - I'd suggest something along the lines of the former. Keep safe. Gunzrrr
I've got a Vortex Diamondback 4-12x40 with BDC on my .223.
Really nice scope for the money I paid for it, but would rather something with slightly more magnification for the bunnies tbh.
I would love this for varmints, was really hard to take the photo sorry.
Those are 22 holes at 37m
