Grab em by the neck or head is the key deer have long necks and not much muscle on it get the head on the ground the rest follows
Still would have been entertaining to watch Im sure.
As would me wrestling Dougies stag to the ground and yelling for a knife while the other two were still standing in the paddock

There is a story behind this I am sure?
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!

I'll leave the deer wrestling for the mad and insane I think.
Last thing I need right now is more injuries.

Took the boy up there this morning to clear the traps and he kept looking around for deer.

If only i still lived on a deer farm.

I don't think deliberately wounding them so i can wrestle is a good plan

Went for a wee wander to clear and reset the trap line tonight.

I had cleared a few already and was squatting down half way through plucking a tree bear when I heard a foot step and stick break behind me.
My heckles went up and my heart stopped momentarily. I knew there was cattle in the block but they weren't anywhere near this area.
While still squatting and holding the possum by the tail, I turned very slowly round to find my head torch light looking right in the face of a young Fallow spiker.
It was so close I could feel his breath on my face.
Damn near crapped my pants, or jizzed in them, not quite sure. Probably both actually.

Slowly finished plucking the coon and gave it a biff into the scrub. Quick look at the stag, yup still there watching about 5m away.
Reset the trap and rubbed the truck with more lure. Stag still there.
Wandered off to the next trap nearly 20m away. Stag now licking the lure off the tree.
Gave him the big "Oi! fark off you bastard!!"
Well bugger me the cheeky prick started to walk toward me!
Did the big arm wave and tried to shoo him away. He got a bit miffed, snorted at me then slowly wandered off to about 50m away and just stood there watching me as I worked.

Eventually he meandered away, but stayed within torch range.
After I finished off my traps, I started to have a wee look around to see if there were any more deer about but only saw the stag. Watched him move around for a bit till he disappeared in the darkness of the scrub.

Very happy to see some deer up there.
Due to proximity of new subdivisions to my block, it is impossible to go in there with a rifle.
I do however know someone with a bow.......
Kev has one. He'd sort it for you.
