I use Winchester subsonics and mine cycles very reliably. It has a suppressor. In fact, it eats anything really. Just needs to be clean. When cleaning I do put a whiff of graphite powder on the spring rod so the charging handle slides nicely. It's about 35 years old which might also explain why it cycles reliably (well broken in)
I'm intrigued by the buffer comments. I presume you use a polymer buffer to quieten the cycle?

you are absolutely right, after a good clean it works much better, not with any Winchester ammo I tried though.
I cleaned the magazines which was a bit painful to put them back together and one has less tension than before.. maybe its just time for a couple of new magazines.
Thanks for all the good advice.

When the OP queried use in a "fully suppressed" 10-22, I assumed they meant one with a perforated barrel/full length suppressor. Clearly not by the replies.

My fully suppressed one happily functions on HV Win and of course they all come out subsonic.

My Stirling model 20 semi cycles best with CCI, Eley and Fiocchi isn't bad either, the last few Winchester subs I put through it were ok but they been 'hit & miss' previously at times. I'll be sticking with CCI & Eley.

I have a fully suppressed 10/20 built by the guy in Nelson, one of the original "Bunny Busters" before he stopped doing them. Runs well on CCI & Winchester 40gn subsonics. He did tune them for Winchester.

Always thought with the fully suppressed 10-22's you needed to run HV rounds as the perforated barrel dropped the velocity down to sub-sonic.

My daughter is shooting milk bottle caps at the 50m range through her suppressed Ruger 10/22, we just run CCI 36gr HP MINI-MAG as it’s the cheapest ammo we can buy locally. She’s not quite 10 for 10 shots yet but easily hit 8/10 from a full mag. Have no issues with it jamming
