I started trapping and looking in trees with just a headlamp this time round on the 3rd June.
    I have 27 since then.

Good work! I think I was getting about 12-13 posso's to a kg of fur, so you might be a bit less than that with some of the monsters you've been getting. Nice bit of beer money there!

Off to a slow start but up to 11 so far. It's a bit of a beloclava and fingerless mittens kind of a night. Cold southerly gusting to 25 knots and I'm on the top of a hill! Alison Holsts spicy beef stew is in my Thermos and it's getting pretty close to dinner time. Whi doesn't love Alison Holst cookbook?Name: 20240617_190721.jpg

Finished on 34. No possums though! In fact I didn't see a single possum despite skirting the bush edges and cliff tops....

Got 5 of these with the Hornet tonight. Bloody shame I can't use the 12 gauge, but too close to the supermarket and housing.

Good to see someone making a dent in the Canada goose population! There are hundreds where I live in North Auckland, they just go from farm to estuary every day. I'd love to find out whose farm they sit on most days

Dundee do you pluck the whole thing including the stumoch and put all the fur in the one bag?

I heard the short stumoch fur wasn't worth as much so wasn't sure if you mix it all up or not.
