Took Bo up the track to get dinner.
Spotted one about 50 metres out.
Thru the black berry and fence for the retrieve.
Back the easy way, down the track to my hand.
Hanging for the night then I will remove back straps and back legs for the freezer.

@Shearer FURCK! That would break your heart if you were a farmer! Big job there Shearer, crack into it.
Are you shooting commercially? Or recreational?
Dispatched these 2 pesties just after I turned on the thermal monocular. Game changer. The pasties can not hide anymore.

@Shearer Yup, rabbit makes good bait! I send some to Greater Barrier Island where they have caught over 200 feral cats!
This week I'll be setting 5 or 6 DOC200 traps around the river, bridge, Gorge where I've seen ferrets on more than a couple of occasions.
Bo needed a hunt.
100 yards.
In the head no problems for the Stirling sniper.lol
Bo brings back the meat.
Never seen fat on the hares like this.
Meat for the freezer and not for Bo but he got a snack from his work.

First spring rabbits with a .22 not fired for 20yrs.
Velocity is thrilling, but diameter does the real killing.
Also posted in another thread....
For the one or two days these were living in the bush edge they did substantial damage to the regenerating broadleaf trees.
Started the tail collecting.
