2018 DoC Waikaia Forest ROAR Ballot - Block 1

Just got the permit today via NZ Post - Block 1 - March 26th and 27th.

I was looking for the 3 consectutive week days but spoke with DoC who said they had ~420 applications so I'm happy I've got a couple of days.

Any one else hear anything ?

Half the harm that is done in this world is due to people who want to feel important. They don't mean to do harm-- but the harm does not interest them. Or they do not see it, or they justify it because they are absorbed in the endless struggle to think well of themselves.

The Titans and Blue lakes are a no go with out permission from Glenaray, Waikaia has been under ballot for years now which is so much better that the old rock up and away ya go, she'll be right.

I scored block 3 in the Leithen late march, so pretty happy with that.

Block 3 is nice block, deer often out in tussock. I have block 1 (the wee one with the hut) at Leithen in the days immediately after my Waikaia block so works out well.
