I’ve used heaps of the Belmont Black 55gr and 62gr ammo in a battered Sako 85 .223, goats and red deer. I’ll only head or neck shoot the reds with these bullets, unless they’re yearlings. The biggest issue I have found is availability. It’s once fired reloaded military brass, Not sure what the continuity of supply of the brass to Belmont is like. They were sold out recently and the guy in Whanganui told me they’ve made some massive sales to professionals, and encouraged me to open an account for preferential supply. So it pays to plan ahead with this stuff, if you leave it to your last few rounds you might end up pretty disappointed.
it’s perfectly good ammo by the way.
