Good shooting HC.
Another one for the Tikka with the 77gr Sierra. Dog indicated it was over a small rise, popped over and it was standing 40 meters away in some native .

Anyone using the Hornady 75gn HPBT on deer?
Experience. What you get just after you needed it.
From my perspective you could throw a blanket over the 80 ELDM, 77 TMK and the 80 Targex. All perform outstandingly. Comes down to what shoots in your gun and supply.
80 ELDM seem to have the most consistent supply.
Cant get 80grn Targex or 77 TMK at the moment.
I have enough 80 Targex for a wee while and 150 77grn.
Bryn (Targex) has generously made me some trial 74 grain using the 69 grn jacket so it will be interesting to see how they go. BC of .380 (to be confirmed).
Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing, and right-doing, there is a field. I will meet you there.

As do the 77 grn TMK's.

Bryn (Targex) made me some 74 grain - using 69 grn jackets I think - 'cos he cant get 80 grn jackets at present.
I figured a load based on my 69grn's and shot this group straight off. 5 shots, first cold barrel shot out of the group. That will do. They will be close to 3K fps out of the Tikka.

73g eldm work well. Cold shot just off center and then 5 in the middle. Only taken 2 deer and sbout a dozen goats so far with these bullets and they work.
