Find this hard to believe, all our customers shoot 1/4 Moa at a thousand, even had a guy telling me yesterday how his son shoots pouks at 150 yds with a air rifle, he even kept a straight face.

Yeh maybe, but on the hill under the pump I’d say there’s a huge difference.

A 400 metre shot at an animal is a long way and most piss cutters don’t shoot steel and paper each week to verify and have the confidence to know what day of the week it is.

    You nailed it, my friend!

Few weekend warriors could hit a flock of circus tents at 700-1,000 yards. We hear about the miraculous long shot kills on elk here in the States all the time. None of these yokels ever admit to the wounded ones that ran off until they finally dropped one.

next to feral pigeons (not native pigeons) they are the closest thing to winged rabbits in places. Breed like them they do.

I suppose it partly depends on the air rifle... If it's one of those 50 cal beasts, I'd believe it... but in my experience, you shoot a pouk at greater than about 50 yards and it will pretty much look at you and tell you to piss off. Even with my 22LR with a 12X scope, taking a small animal out at 150 yards is no easy feat.

600m with factory ammo with practice is doable, 800m handloads with a bit of skill and good gear e.g. good dail up scope, Ballistic app, rangefinder, windmeter if shooting in any. Your gona need plenty deep pockets to run a 300wsm with the trigger time needed to shoot that far on targets even before nocking a deer over.
What setup are you using at the moment?
