Hehehe I was waiting for you to say something Duncs....unfortunatly the powers who run the block only allow people they have met into the block. Maybe next year I could wrangle it Dunc
Just got off the phone with my brother. A few other factors have come to light. Did i mention it was raining like a snippet from the "Noah". My brother (who also wears glasses) said his glasses were slightly foggy and the scope had not been cleared of raindrops. He quickly did it with a cloth he had in his pocket.......

I bet your brother is bummed out.
We have all lost animals no matter how hard we have looked and know what that feels like.
I have found several too ...... only much later and thought how did we miss that first time round.
If your brother did hit him you will find him soon enough ............ your nose will lead the way to him.
Look on the bright side, If he did miss then the Stag will still be there and when you find him I believe it must be your shot now
Cheers
Pete
In light of the new information it sounds like you had a fair crack at searching for the stag. Its amazing where they end up landing after shot so he could be on the ground somewhere. Or, he is waiting for you to get back in there for another crack! Everyone misses an easy one at some stage, I sure as hell have done it on more than one occasion over the years.
Definitely your turn to shoot next time though!
Oh and invest in contact lenses, makes hunting far easier and no issues with fogging glasses.
Hunting is not a hobby.....its an addiction
