    Anyone based in Kaikoura please?

    Hi
Just wondered if anyone could tell me which access tracks into public land around Kaikoura are open at the moment please?
Looking at DOC website they mention that they are mostly closed due to earthquake repairs.
Not after anyone’s secret spot, I don’t know the area, just any help if poss.
    Cheers

Would have thought the two tracks behind Mt fyfee were open, haupuka hut and.... Can't remember the other hut on that loop.

As long as there is no infrastructure (bridges boardwalk etc) on the track I would have though that the only earthquake damage would be a few landslides you could walk over. Most of the track going in from the south side of Mt fyfee is walking up the riverbed

Thanks 223nut. Yeah I dunno. They say the car park at the start of the Mt Fyffe hut Track is “completely washed away by recent rains”.
I guess there’s only one way to find out
