    Anyone hunted D'Urville island

So a friend of mine invited me to sail down to the sounds with him over the weekend never to turn down an adventure i accepted . Now after a bit of googling i was curious about packing the gun and going on land for a bit . Whats the hunting like there how hard is the terrain ? Are there reasonably good deer numbers ? Any tips from anyone who has hunted there or is there somewhere better to try

Good deer numbers in parts of the island, do your research and be very sure you are not on pp (same goes for the sounds)

Spent couple nights there. Interesting place. Steep in places big gullies. When I was there the locals were out spotlighting on the back of a beat up old jeep thing. For the short time I was there they did get a few. I walked a few tracks..bit of sign about. I would like to return sometime.

    I feel a plan forming

Yes, there is a ferry, and I am sure there are other options. Just thought I would ask for recommendations.

Dont waste your time chasing every last fps, it doesnt matter in the real world, it wont make a difference, all it will do is cause head aches and frustrations. And dont listen to silly old cunts
