Thread: Bad feeling

@Ftx325 , mate I was riveted , some very scary stuff.
My Grandmother owned a flat in Hamilton that some freaky shit happened in also. Not as violent as that but freaky all the same.
My father was a cop at that stage and he witnessed a few things when staying and my old man was a pretty hard straight up old school cop.

That was scary all right . I think the worst part was having know idea what the hell was going on , or what it wanted or was trying do/say . Or knowing what it was capable of doing.....
Even now when I think of ghosts I picture a figure or something along those lines . A vision . A light . frightening maybe but ultimately probably harmless .
Whatever that thing was , it was not happy , or benevolent

We have seen other things out bush over the years when we hunted together all those years ago , usually with the spotlight out the window of the truck .
A couple of those times , heavily armed with 22's and large calibre rifles , we still made quick exits after seeing stuff that we couldn't explain .
But I won't relay those stories or you lot WILL think I'm a closet horror story writer......or fruit loop ....

When we were young fullas just starting our apprentice ships me and a mate would meet at a water tower on the north shore and drink piss and talk shit all night it had a good view over auckland and the cops left us alone up there. One night we arrived up there he jumped in my car and there was an undescribable atmosphere. We didnt feel like drinking the conversation was arkward just felt really uneasy. In the end we hopped out of the car and just went and sat in seperate places trying to figure out what was going on. In the end we hopped back in the car and talked about what we were feeling. It was a really intense evil feeling just about making us feel sick. We decided to call it a night and go home. Come next friday and im waiting at the water tower for my mate to turn up. He never showed up. Get a call from his parents the next day and hes in hospital after having a near fatal car accident. Talking about it later we pinned that feeling down to pretty much spot on the time he had the accident.... it was a near death experiance for him as he said he got sent back...

Just gotta observe at how surprised I am that this thread has got so much life....

It seems incongruous to me given we live in a time where it is so fashionable to shitcan traditional 'european' beliefs on religion etc. but almost compulsory to doff our caps to those of the woke........

Just sayin.....as they say.

well as you get older and talk to mre and more people and they are comfortable with you quite a lot of people have experiaces like these but are a bit cautious about telling others. plus its a better discussion than some of the shit fights on here. one of our boys has visitors quite a bit he used to be sit scared of them untill i came along and understood what was happening and was able to explain (as i used to get them a bit as a kid) it to him. hes still a bit uneasy with it but it doesnt scare the shit out of him anymore.

Can't wait to see this video. Let's crowdfund it if that's what it takes. I don't know what I think about all this stuff, but it's interesting. My dad who is a sober atheist with the spirituality of a potato swears blind that he saw a ghost "walking" across a wide river once.

My boss has visits one was from a guy we knew that commited suicide and another was the old lady that owned the house he bought. He recons they were lost as after a few visits from each of them he told them to follow the light and he hasnt seen them again

In those particular cases mimms we had every opportunity to 'open fire' but were to stunned to react at the time , thinking WTF ....
they weren't ghosts or spirits or whatever you want to call them .
Just unidentifiable 'things' , for want of a better word . In the dead of night out spotlighting for possums as extra income for skins in forestry and the odd deer for the freezer .

I would like to read about your experiences. As for credibility, what does it matter? People will make up their own minds.

When I was a younger fella I used to work for a fella called Allan. Al was an Aussie bloke who came to NZ and started a career dairy farming. I was a bit off the rails at that stage and Al gave me a chance and helped set me in the right direction again. He had grown up hard in Sydney and found himself on the streets of Kings Cross at a young age. He used to carry this little pocket knife and one day he told me the story about how he came to be in possession of it, he had taken it from another young fella who had been stabbed and ended up dying, living the way he did as a young fella meant surviving the best way he knew how and sometimes that involved taking advantage of the vulnerable so when he came across the young fella taking his last few breaths he searched his pockets and ended up with the pocket knife, he kind of felt bad about it but at the same time it was a little momento of where he had come from and he felt he should at least look after it.
I noticed at one stage he didn't have his pocket knife anymore as he was using a new one to cut bale strings etc. I asked him what happened to his pocket knife and he stared me straight in the eye and said "the ground took it back"
I was a bit confused about what he meant so pressed him on it and he said he fumbled as he took it out of his pocket and dropped it, he saw it land and when he went to pick it up he blinked and it dissapeared. I started to tell him surely it's just lost in the grass or something, I asked where he lost it and offered to go help find it and he cut me short and said again "the ground took it back" in a way that made me think this was a fella that's completely convinced about what he believes happened and kind of doesn't want to continue the conversation. Have thought often about that over the years when conversations start about unexplained or "spooky" things.
Al unfortunately died last year whilst in police custody https://i.stuff.co.nz/national/crime...n-dairy-farmer I don't want to dwell on what it was that lead him to be there in the first place as like his sister stated to the media at the time Al was a "bit of a ratbag" but he had a big heart and I'll always be gratefull to him for giving me a shot when I was in a bit of a dark place myself.

Its like that old saying in every bad person theres a little bit of good and in every good person theres a little bit of bad
