    Totally agree with your sentiments.
I dont share anything other than with people I trust and even then.

Goats and rabbits are genuine pests and have a different status as far as secrets go imo.

They breed a lot more rapidly than more sought after game and there is no shortage here on the coast. Well apart from rabbits of late.
I have been politely denied access to some places I have shot rabbits for years because there are so few and farmers like having a few for their kids or grand kids. I am all for that as it is fostering more hunters and the like.

I've got a cunning plan for you...works with most things like getting jobs, fishing and hunting, borrowing trailers etc really you name it.
1.Go down to your local pisser, if not Rugby or other sports club. (after lock-down)
2.Get to know locals, shout a few beers, you might risk getting roped into the odd pressie Rugby or Cricket match.
3.I'm sure they will sort you out

If you don't mind driving to murchison then I'd try some of the public land around it.

My cousins have goats and reds off the back of their place and further beyond its public land for miles
Damn I'll just have ti look a bit harder then....thanks

I know most of the Coast is public land but it really is a matter of boots on the ground.

If you want chamois then try the tops of Victoria Forest Park.

Fuck all deer around as they 1080 the hell of it but chamois don't eat the stuff.

I need to find that raised eyebrow emoticon....

Goats and Rabbits Possums and the like are fair game IMO... happy to endorse as much goat culling as possible... When I can sit on my veranda on the edge of town and count sometimes dozens of goats on the surrounding hills and bluffs with a spotting scope, then there is a problem.

Just an idea for you goat slaying buggers (I love a good nanny), you need to get in good with one of those fellas of Indian descent that own or run a bottle store. Most seem pretty happy to exchange a bit of goat for a bottle of whiskey or bourbon. Generally the stinker the meat the better.
