its could be a boar who likes other boars...he has heard that its ok to "come out" now........or he has been on hard tucker/dry grass etc and been stretched by all that fibre.....just shoot the hua and let us have a look will ya????
could be great size for Christmas hams.
It`s your mate next door, he chucked a dodo from is angus bull over the fence and is now laughing him self silly down at the pub, "He thinks it`s a pig turd"
From my experience from hunting pigs with dogs with mates for quite a few years when younger and now and again now days as well some things i have observed.
Big big pig shits tend to come from BIG pigs in alot of cases, with only a few coming from smaller animals. Smaller shits can and often do come from bigger pigs, and you more likely to see a average size shit coming from a big pig than a huge shit coming from a smaller animal. (but does happen) That shit in the photo is more likely from a good size pig, at least 130 but could and prob is well over that, unlikely to be any smaller thou(its a good size crap ). The two pigs over 200lb i have been on the kill with had shits that size and quite a few over 150lb had silmar size craps.
Foot prints often tell the size of the pig, with certain areas giving away more infor on how big that pig is and with a print and a crap handy you can normally pick the weight of the pig pretty close depending on the area you hunting.
Around here murchison way the pigs weight more than perlous way if you saw the same print or pig turd size in the two areas.
If thats out your way shearer he be a monster more likely
For bait you can use a bag of blood and bone, just sprinkle it generously around the paddock and then can just whole up somewhere with obs with a rifle if you don't have dogs to pop it at dawn/dusk.
More often than not i've found big poopers are from sows that have dropped a litter or two. But always go by accumilation of sign, type of rooting, print size and evidence of other prints in the mix etc... Game cams are always great too.
Could be a pig this size??
