Big walk, nice 12 pts, big blisters

    Hi,
Myself and good mate walked 8.5 hrs, for a look into new country last weekend, with the plan to hopefully get onto some stags.
Setup camp in rain and clag as per expected, next few days weather was looking great which is was.
Early start breakfast and glassing, we made a plan to move around to a rocky bluff and have lunch which opened up a good looking valley, during lunch we spotted a hind 750 yards, so I decided to move in for a closer look.
Mate decide to stay put and signal if it moved on.
I got into 150yard but now my angle was blocked by low scrub, turning over to glass my mate if its moved, my eye caught a good stag not 200 from my position standing out in the flats feeding up, I quickly repositioned checked he wasn't still in velvet.
3 points on each crown, tines looked good, I was thinking nice 10, my first in hard antler, passed up on few good 8s and 9s.
Lined up and boom, it dropped. All the while my mates looking on , seen me quickly move a set-up again. Checked on the hind I was originally chasing it hadn't moved but another good stag was up and looking in my direction only 150 from me, I watched him walk off. climbing down to cross the river and up on to the flats I spooked another stag 50mtr ha , by this time my mate was climbing down to me as saw the stag i flushed out of the river bed , lined up at 350 but was all to fast.
later that night back at camp - we spotted 3 new stags all within range

It was only when I got over to it did I realise, its a 12, nice.
Got some good blisters on the walk out but would do it all again.
