    after thinking i missed out again i got a letter in the mail from DOC with a access permit in it today fuk i won DOC lotto !!! ya whoo
    so i better go and check farthers day lotto ticket as forgot today you never know

    I know it's not the same, but you can make the trek up Golden Crown or Sentry Box.... sure, it's steep and hard work, but fuck it - are you hunters or netball players?

    This net baller got his letter today and will be driving to Ruahine hut.

    However if your real a real keen man you could also come in via the comet, walk to Shutes hut then climb the track to Ruahine Hut.

    Been there - walked up Golden Crown to Aranga, across to Ruahine Corner, down to Ikawtea Forks, down to Shutes, up to Tauruarau Biv, across to No Mans & out - awesome trip, much annual leave needed...

    Been to shutes and ikwatea forks once or twice last century when I was much younger.

    Regularly visit Sentry Box/Parks Peak ......... My Old Man lives there now.
