Burwood red tussock conservation - hunt with kids

Hi All, I’m in the area for a couple weeks, planning a hunt with my 5yo and 16yo, drove passed the red tussock conservation block and thought that looked way better than Wye Creek Queenstown for a hunt with the kids, not that I would, just that that one is 20min from base camp as a reference for where we are.
I called into Doc Te Anau but they had no info on that block other than it likely has deer in it 🙄.
Any info would be greatly appreciated, but no doubt we will gain our own intel by foot.
We are based in Queenstown but happy to travel especially for a chance of pigs or Chamois. Not expecting either in Burwood of course.

Have hunted it but the catch is there are takahe rearing pens in there that people also work in. Not really sure of the deal in regard to going in there. I did have a permit but sort of felt abit weird. Plenty of deer for all that.

I've nearly ran over a deer on the road there more than once when driving down to Te Anau late at night

Thanks guys. Looks like kid friendly terrain too. I’ll plan for a good weather day
