Bone it out on the hill and only bring home the meat. Buy a cheap dedicated beer/meat fridge for your garage. Happy days
two 15ltr buckets...drill at least a dozen 10mm holes in bum of one...sit it inside the other bucket...put meat in top holey bucket and excess blood will drip/soak through to cavity between the two buckets, put in fridge for up to a week before processing ,bagging and freezing meat...if there has been flies around, consider skipping the ageing bit just incase one little shit has deposited eggs, nothing puts you off faster than finding mechanical rice in your hard earned meat.(cut out effected bits and deep freeze the rest QUICKLY ,WITHOUT letting her in doors spot it,say nothing or it will all end up in the bin)offal goes in the green wheelie bin,it is after all food scraps, food waste...I fail to see the difference between a deers ribcage and the bones from a tegal chicken/KFC....as far as what is allowed to go in a bin.
I am sure there others on here that can tell the difference between a deers ribcage and a tegal/kfc chicken
yeah yeah I can tell the difference but fail to see why one is allowed in compostables bin and the other excluded.....and had this discussion with Timaru district council 23-24 years ago and have put all my offal in otto bin ever since.
both are food waste...both are compostable...both are 100% natural....so both go in the plurry bin, along with feathers and skins...at this time there is a pig skin and hocks in my bin...last week, feathers and 6 possum carcasses and a breasted out and cut up paridise duck.
Yeah i havent had any problems putting animal bones, skins, and other parts in the bin. Its no more or less gross than throwing out chicken that has gone off or other food waste.
You would think with the greeny lefty twats in Nelson council we would have a compostable bin but we dont.
So my compostable waste goes into the landfill like everybody elses.

I sort of imagine that if you can bring out a carcass you have a quad bike or 4wd and are on a farm. Might be worth asking the farmer if he had a chiller and offal hole you can use. I guess youve thought of that.
