just a little sidestep off topic ...... more importantly from the view of what a deer sees is what you wash your gear in . if you let management toss your hunting gear in with the everyday wash then you will stick out like a big neon sign the ultra brightners in washing products wont do you any favours.

I've been told the same thing.... they're supposed to be more sensitive to UV light and washing powder has UV brightener included or something along those lines..

Correct about UV brighteners in washing powder. On the same shelves are powders without brighteners. NZ Hunting shops also sell UV Killers by the bottle. The US research also mentioned this as a factor what deer eyes see.
