    Took the family to Zealandia, the old Karori wildlife Sanctuary in Wellington. They have heaps of them there, sunny themselves beside the footpath. Would love to see one in the wild.

    I had to google them as I didn't know they were even on mainland NZ.

    Wiki had this gem to share, thought I'd pass it on.

    "A male tuatara named Henry, living at the Southland Museum and Art Gallery, is still reproductively active at 111 years of age."

    Yep, top bloke spent many an hour watching him lying in the sun.

    Jeez i hope i have his stamina at that age,or even just be able to get around
