Thread: Cotters Crk - Wanaka roar block

Got this block for first period of roar, & looking for some advice regarding access in/out of Cotters Crk and also Lake Crk from Hunter Valley. Both show a track on TR on topomaps, but know from experience that bottom sections of these side creeks are pretty gorgey and gnarly. Tracks cut in deer culling days can be sketchy or non existent in places. Most interest in the access in/out of Cotters Crk itself. Probably get dropped into the tops at head basin and hunt my way out. Any tips or advice much appreciated

Got a mate that had that block last year. They few in and walked out. Saw lots of chamois but no deer

Cheers @Lukeduncan. Heard there’s a few Cham about. Any more details on the walk out ? Especially the last gorgey bits before you hit main valley?
