Speill do you mean the dogs? How do you know them??!

Jet has come a very long way with his tracking, it's been a lot of hard work but he's really great. In the last six months he's improved ten fold in all behaviours.

Previously he's worried stock but he's solid as now, even had a steer charge him today and he just stood looking at it. He also no longer chases birds like chickens and maggies.

I've not had him on a goat hunt with me (he was in the car when I shot the billy) but he's tracked a couple carcasses now.

Yes I will make a rug out of this!!! I have seen heaps of goat rugs that don't smell. I'm not doing it myself though.

The rifle is my trusty Savage 223, I was using 55grain Federal ammo.

I once got a billy skin tanned and it stunk and ended up being thrown out, if i did it again it would be a nanny skin for sure, but good luck anyway

The billy skin that possum trapper tanned himself is on his floor and doesn't stink. Dougie said hers was going to a taxidermist so will be awesome.

Apparently up to three months wait and I think it's about $70. I've got a smaller black one too and the farmer has another. He's had three small billies done by that guy and they are gorgeous and don't smell!

My guy is about three times the size though. You guys had me tempted to measure the spread today actually. Maybe next time I'll wander up yo the scrub where I left it to rot off a bit before hanging off the shed.

Don't let them rot, boil them out. Apparently it's better for head preservation.
