Thread: Day hunt around Nelson/Richmond

Plenty of hunting around the region to be had. Some people forget but the foresty is open around 6 months of the year.
Easy to get a permit, cost is 70-90 dollars for up to 3 different big blocks.(ie Golden downs,North bank, Rai)
Deer, pigs, quail, rabbits, hares and goats can all be hunted, with dogs or without. Indicating dogs can be quite good in the forestry, know one guy that gets a ton of deer with his.
Places like the North bank over the hill have good foresrty blocks that back onto DOC.
Plenty of animals, i dont even hunt there as have no shortage of spots but i know people that do very well over in that area.
