hunt your deer on a big green deer...has added bonus of a bucket to retrieve it in.... they are used to normal farm noises.....Ive seen deer watch trampers walk past,no issue but if start to get all slinky like they are gone, most animals are the same,Ive shot many many rabbits over the years by watching them out corner of eye as walk towards them on an angle, works with parrie dcks too if they dont see shotgun till its too late.

They definitely get used to the usual sounds and goings on....its anything out of the ordinary that will put them on high aleart/spook them.....like driving up then turning the engine off.

Not deer but pigs yarn...when I was a young fella school holidays were mostly spent sitting in the cab of a bulldozer with Dad, He had been pushing in this road and superskid for a few days and this mob of pigs had been coming out in the evenings and rooting around in the workings but as soon as it was shut down they were gone......I talked Dad into going home to get a rifle one evening.....left Dozer parked doing about 1000rpm while we went home to get a rifle (about 45min drive each way) we got back about 20min before dark and come back to them rooting right next to the 155 still running.....they must have thought it was a big distant cousin

I respect your beliefs but don't impose them on me.

I have had stags nut off during the roar at the sound of a chainsaw seems to be as effective as a calling horn, and also with engine noise especially a tractor they seem to pay no attention until you stuff up and turn it off.

In Canada it's similar, you can drive a vehicle or quad close to the deer ( etc) and they stand and watch you but try and stalk them in their environment and they are super elusive and quick off the mark. They certainly get used to the normal sounds and sights but once the pattern changes so do they.
