I got to show a newby some tips recently. I have a lot of time for anyone who wants to learn as I could have done with the same when I was self teaching and wasted many years looking up trees for deer.
My only time away in the last year (except the roar) and had the pleasure of a good bastard tagging along on his first hunt. (I hope he's reading this)
Anyway we were constantly stopping and I would pick up some shit and show him the difference in age and variables such as morning dew etc.
He put one on the deck going on dark so was a rush to gut etc. Next day I put a small fallow on the deck and in the process of gutting it got some pellets that came out of the tube and said that is what fresh shit looks like. No need to taste test this shit

I think the most effective method is by trying to smear it across your face as camo paint. if it goes on easy your close and you have the upper hand by altering your scent. If its dry you'll just be giving your face a natural exfoliate.

Smart thinking. Ha ha ha ha
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!
Rule 1: Treat every firearm as loaded
Rule 2: Always point firearms in a safe direction
Rule 3: Load a firearm only when ready to fire
Rule 4: Identify your target beyond all doubt
Rule 5: Check your firing zone
Rule 6: Store firearms and ammunition safely
Rule 7: Avoid alcohol and drugs when handling firearms
