Pfft you're not an inspiration, stop winging sounds like an awesome excuse to buy a Donkey or a nugget of a pony. Or just take me hunting with you, I'm good at carrying shit

I'd go a quad. Cheaper to maintain, don't require so much space, lighter to tow, less temperamental, ... Horses are good though if you have the space but there is a reason that most farmers have gone motorised.

Do some door knocking/phoning and try and find a farm you can access.
There are only three types of people in this world. Those that can count, and those that can't!

Hi stumpy, there aren't too many quad option up here (Waikato) that would put you onto game on doc land, however if you shift your mind set to explore other activities such as bow fishing, then there is plenty of scope. See link:

    http://www.nzhuntingandshooting.co.n...-hunting-4178/

Rambo is a member on here and I set this up for him, he has also taken some pretty good stags from quad bike access, so maybe he is a good person to talk too about places to go? Either way he's a good bugger and will set you straight.

If you're ever up this way in the warmer months of the year give me a bell and I can organise some koi carp bow fishing for you. Most is within 50m of a road, or done by boat. It s not easy...but it's fun!
