DIY Electrolyte recipe as in NZ Hunter Mag

Ages ago after seeing the recipe in the magazine I went out and collected the raw ingredients.

But never got round to mixing it all up. I've since lost the bit of paper with the amounts and recipe on it.

    Does anyone have it handy?

**EDIT** Ive just found a link to the article i was thinking of. It was actually NZ Guns and Hunting.

I'll try an find the NZHunter recipe. From memory it has Sea salt, epsom salts, and cream of tartar no dextrose or pink salt.

Per 100g salt, 8g (2 good teaspoons) epsom salts (crushed), 2g (1 small teaspoon) Cream tartar

Real guns start with the number 3 or bigger and make two holes, one in and one out

Stug is correct. Alternative is raw sea salt @ 1% solution 1 gram per litre i.e. 1/4 teaspoon. i.e. a large pinch per 500mls i.e just taste mineral effect. The dude who just set the record for running across America i.e. running at least a marathon a day swore by beer [can] each day and the absolute pick up of can of coke.Bush alternative is 3 heap teaspoons of coffee, and 4 large spoons of raw sugar with milk.Make it as hot as hell. Great reviver.

For what it's worth there's a multitude of prepacked electrolyte mixes, that Have flavours like raspberry instead of home made sweaty butt crack and are easy to use and administer the required amount.

Mate us southerners aren't asking on a forum how to recreate the stuff
I use these and they are good, just bang a couple in my water bladder each time I fill it up.

Except the homemade one, 100g will cost a few bucks and do about 1000l of water.

I picked up some of your berry boost to try today, it certainly tastes a shit load better than my DIY stuff. Ive got a lifetimes supply of it now tho, so id better get use to it, maybe ill just add a bit of berry flavoured raro ;-)
